Thank you, and drive safe.

Message from the Interim Superintendent of the Township of Franklin Public Schools
To all staff and members of the Franklin Township Public Schools community,
Due to the unpredictable nature of the approaching storm, the district will operate on a two-hour delayed opening tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
We will continue to monitor the weather conditions overnight. If the storm intensifies and we receive more snow than expected, there is a possibility that schools may be closed. Should that decision be necessary, a follow-up message will be sent tomorrow morning.
As of now, please plan for a two-hour delay on Wednesday, February 12. Stay safe, and we appreciate your cooperation.

Due to the approaching winter storm, we are preparing for a POSSIBLE altered schedule (closure of delayed opening) tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Snow is expected to arrive this afternoon and evening, clearing out by early tomorrow morning. Interior South Jersey may see slightly higher totals, with a projected 4–6” zone covering parts of eastern Atlantic, Cumberland, and most of Cape May counties.
A final decision will be made early this evening. Night events in our schools have been cancelled. Please stay tuned for further updates, and as always, safety remains my top priority.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Congratulations to Mary F. Janvier's Students of the Month for January! Our character trait is Service.

Recently in Mrs. Rambone’s 5th-grade math class, we had a fun event known as the “Decimal Diner”. The classroom was decorated as a beautiful diner, set up with pretty candle-lit tables. To show our math skills, each group of three students ordered food, added the totals of their meals, including the tax and tip, and then divided the total, sharing the cost of the bill. We all had fun eating snacks and talking in the classroom “diner” while dressed in fancy business attire!

Dear Staff and Parents,
Due to hazardous weather conditions, The Township of Franklin Public Schools will operate under a two-hour delayed opening tomorrow, February 6, 2025. Early morning ice and a wintry mix are expected to create dangerous travel conditions.
I urge everyone to plan accordingly and exercise extreme caution on the roads. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority.
In addition, AM preschool will be canceled, and PM preschool will start at the regular time.
Thank you for your attention and stay safe.

Our Week at Reutter School
https://secure.smore.com/n/v7yx3

Last week, fifth and sixth-grade students at Caroline L. Reutter School participated in an engaging and informative assembly presented by iROC2, an organization dedicated to promoting online responsibility and safety. The assembly focused on teaching students how to navigate the digital world safely while making positive choices online.
During the session, students learned about the potential dangers of the internet, including cyberbullying and sharing personal information, while also exploring the many benefits of technology when used responsibly. The presenter emphasized the importance of developing a positive digital footprint, safeguarding personal information, and respecting others in online interactions.
Through real-life examples and interactive discussions, students were encouraged to think critically about their online behavior and its impact on themselves and others. The assembly left a lasting impression, equipping students with the tools and knowledge they need to be responsible digital citizens.
Caroline L. Reutter School remains committed to fostering digital responsibility and ensuring that students are prepared to engage safely and confidently in today’s technology-driven world

Mrs. Boman's fifth-grade science students proudly showcased their creativity and scientific knowledge by designing dioramas illustrating the fascinating interactions between Earth's spheres.

Dear Township of Franklin Public Schools Community,
On behalf of our entire district, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your understanding and cooperation during today’s active fire situation along Route 40. The safety and well-being of our students and staff are always our top priorities, and we appreciate your support as we navigated this unexpected event.
To ensure the safety of everyone at the Main Road School, we took immediate action to evacuate and relocate all students and staff to the Caroline L. Reutter School for the duration of their school day. I am immensely grateful to our dedicated faculty and staff, who worked seamlessly to provide assistance during this emergency and maintain a calm and secure environment for our students.
I would also like to thank the parents and guardians who were impacted by this situation for your flexibility in making alternative arrangements to pick up your children from school. We understand that this may have caused inconvenience, and sincerely apologize for any disruption to your day.
Our thoughts remain with those affected by the fire, and we are deeply appreciative of the first responders who worked tirelessly to manage the emergency. I would also like to commend the Township of Franklin Office of Emergency Management and the Franklin Township Police Department for their prompt and efficient communication with our district. Their efforts were instrumental in ensuring the safety of our school community throughout this incident.
We have been informed by the Township of Franklin Office of Emergency Management that Main Road School will resume normal operations tomorrow, January 24.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our Administrative Offices at 856-629-9500 X1200.
Thank you once again for your understanding, patience, and cooperation during this community emergency.
Sincerely,
Mr. Theodore Peters
District School Safety Specialist
Township of Franklin Public Schools

Township of Franklin Public Schools Families,
This is to inform our school community that the Main Road School has been evacuated to the Reutter School due to a nearby fire on Route 40.
All students and staff in our district are safe. Reutter School and Janvier School are currently operating a normal schedule. The Main Road School students will remain at Reutter School for the remainder of the school day.
Due to road closures, all students who live on Route 40 between Main Road and Tuckahoe Road as well as North Bluebell Road between Tuckahoe Road and Weymouth Road will not have access to busing this afternoon. For the students impacted by road closures, a parent/guardian will need to pick up Reutter School and Main Road School students at the Reutter School Main Office. While Janvier School is not directly impacted by the situation, those students who are affected by the road closure and attend the Mary F. Javier School will be picked up at the Mary F. Janvier School Main Office.
All other students who are not impacted by the road closures will take their scheduled bus home at their normal dismissal time. Please understand that there might be transportation delays due to the situation going on in town.
We are working closely with The Franklin Township Police Department and the Office of Emergency Management. As this is an active situation we will send follow-up communication as necessary.
Thank you,
Mr. Theodore Peters
District School Safety Specialist

This message is to inform Reutter School parents/guardians that the Main Road School has been evacuated to the Reutter School due to a fire near their school.
All occupants at Reutter School are safe and operating on a normal schedule.
